For Samia, the interest in nutrition and health arose in her childhood. She grew up in Tangier, Morocco and Southern Spain, where her family tradition of always sitting and eating together and enjoying fresh, tasty and healthy Mediterranean style food was the norm, and where food based-remedies were regularly used. Samia became passionate about natural medicine, and especially interested in the healing properties of food. She firmly believes that the right food is an important part of a healthy and happy lifestyle.
Samia embarked on the adventure of a lifetime when she moved to London and worked for some time as an accountant. However, her passion was always health and nutrition and she continued to devoured the health section of magazines and tried out new recipes on her friends at every opportunity, but it was a chance encounter which eventually changed her life forever and allowed her to indulge her true calling.
After three years in London, Samia met someone who was to became both a friend and mentor. His dedication to caring and treating his autistic child, his in depth knowledge of complementary therapies and his understanding of how good nutrition can support and improve a person’s health were an inspiration to Samia, and before she knew it, she embarked on her nutrition career. A career which is her passion and which provides her with new inspiration each day.
Samia graduated as a fully qualified nutritional therapist from The Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION), one of Europe’s most distinguished and leading providers of education in the field of Nutritional Therapy. In addition to the fundamentals of nutrition, she was trained in the principles of Functional Medicine, a science-based approach that addresses the underlying causes of disease. She is a member of, and is regulated by, the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Since she began practising, Samia’s everyday work and passion has been to help educate people how to restore and maintain their health and vitality.
